A tenugui are cotton wrapping cloths or towels. They have two raw edges (top and bottom) this is what distinguishes them from the more mass produced tenugui. They are may also dyed, hand screen printed rather than machine printed. Meant to be used as a soft cotton towel. They epitomise Japanse culture.
