A stunning sarassa Japanese silk kimono fabric panel. Influences by the 1800 Indian calico, the Japanese artist developed and created their own unique pattern called sarassa. Beautiful patchwork like patterns of florals and geometrics. Medium weight soft smooth silky handle, in muted shades of green, purple, ochre and brown. Rich and opulent!
In very good condition, it measures 92 cm x 35 cm (36" x 14") approx
All fabrics are burn tested to determine content.
Please be aware that these are Vintage pieces of fabric that have been unpicked. So there are tiny holes where the stitching has been depending on the weight of the fabric these may be more or less visible.
Regarding the colour, please understand that it may look different according to your monitor or other circumstances. If you are unsure please ask questions before bidding!
