A tenugui are cotton wrapping cloths or towels. They measure 90 cm long by 34.5 cm wide. They have two raw edges (top and bottom) this is what distinguishes them from the more mass produced tenugui. Meant to be used as a soft cotton towel. They epitomise Japanse culture.
